Dutch openness meets Engadin down-to-earth charm and a deep connection to nature. As a young family, we warmly welcome you to our Villa Magenta, where we live and work. We’re happy to share our tips for exploring the region – and we do so in many different languages. And if you’re lucky, there might be fresh eggs from our chickens too.
The modern and light-filled apartment on the top floor is stylishly and comfortably furnished to a high standard. It can accommodate up to six guests across two bedrooms – one with a double bed, the other with two bunk beds. The heart of the apartment is the balcony, featuring a hot tub and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains – the perfect spot to unwind after an active day. Thanks to its central location, you can reach the train station, bus stop, supermarket and the gondola to the mountain and ski area within just a few minutes’ walk.

From Zurich Airport via Zurich Central Station, changing trains in Landquart to Scuol-Tarasp.
From Landquart towards Klosters via the Flüela Pass (summer) or through the Vereina car transport service (summer and winter) to Scuol.
The route through Austria leads through the Albergtunnel or over the Fern Pass and across the border at Martina to Scuol.

The swimming lakes Lai da Padnal in Ftan and Lai Nair in Tarasp invite you to take a dip in a stunning natural setting.
The region offers 500 km of bike trails and cycling paths. Bikes and e-bikes can be rented in town or at the base station.
A beautifully situated 9-hole golf course is located in nearby Vulpera, just a few minutes’ drive away from our apartment.
Fantastic panoramic hiking areas on the local mountain Motta Naluns and in and around the Swiss National Park.
Scuol has various playgrounds for children – directly above Residenza Magenta, in the village centre, and elsewhere in the area.
Located in Sur En, below Sent, the rope park offers various courses for children of different age groups.
The Lower Engadin is one of Europe’s hotspots for rafting and kayaking. Engadin Adventure also offers family rafting experiences.
A dream come true for horse lovers. The San Jon stables offer riding lessons and trekking tours.
You can enjoy the winter landscape of the Lower Engadine in many different ways – leisurely on a winter hike, actively while skiing or sledding, or completely relaxed in the outdoor pool of the Bogn Engiadina Scuol. The modern fitness centre ORIGYM is located within the Bogn Engiadina Scuol complex.
Pure winter romance – ride in a horse-drawn sleigh to Val S-charl. The trip can be combined with a fondue evening at Gasthaus Mayor.
A varied sledding run leads from Prui in the ski area down to Ftan.
The family-friendly Motta Naluns ski area offers 25 slopes over 70 km with 12 lifts.
Panoramic trails in the ski area and beautiful winter hiking paths in the valley, as well as trails for snowshoe hiking.
The region offers a network of cross-country trails in the valley and ski area totalling around 90 km.
The stop for the train station and cable car is only 160 m from Residenza Magenta.
